This was one of the most requested features. <\/p>\n<p>I would like to make the normal search &#8220;just work&#8221; as much as possible and rank relevant search results highly. However, there do seem to be some good use cases for only searching package names. <\/p>\n<p>You can do so by prefixing a search term with either <strong>name:<\/strong> to restrict your search to package names or <strong>exact:<\/strong> to find only packages that exactly match the specified name.<\/p>\n<p>Compare <a href=\"http:\/\/webpinstant.com\/search\/name%3Aamarok\"><strong>name:<\/strong>amarok<\/a> vs <a href=\"http:\/\/webpinstant.com\/search\/exact%3Aamarok\"><strong>exact:<\/strong>amarok<\/a> vs <a href=\"http:\/\/webpinstant.com\/search\/amarok\">amarok<\/a><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve added a <a href=\"http:\/\/webpinstant.com\/tips\">tips page<\/a> to document these hidden features. <\/p>\n<p>This week I&#8217;ve also<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Added google chrome repository for openSUSE 12.2<\/li>\n<li>Indexed more OBS repositories<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please do keep your suggestions and bug reports coming <a href=\"mailto: webpin at benjiweber.co.uk\">via email<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I have added support for searching by package names only.
